The Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter offers a broad range of free programs and services, funding for research and advocacy efforts on behalf of Michiganders. The Michigan Chapter serves 18,000 Michiganders annually, those with or at risk for Alzheimer’s / dementia, caregivers, families, and healthcare providers. SMSF approved $15,000 to support the development and implementation of a” First Responder Training Program”, which will increase dementia knowledge and awareness among first responders and provide them training regarding how to appropriately approach situations involving a person with Alzheimer’s / dementia.
